Email in organisations: a long history

Matthew Allen

It is interesting to recognise how long researchers have been looking at the question of email in organisations. Early leaders in this field include Sproull and Kiesler, as in Reducing Social Context Cues: Electronic Mail in Organizational Communication, Management Science 1986: http://mansci.journal.informs.org/content/32/11/1492.short.

We will be developing a bibliography of key articles relating to email and organisations, focusing specifically on their use by leaders and for leadership.
